What is an Embryoscope?

The Embryoscope is an advanced IVF incubator with a built-in microscope and camera for automated time-lapse imaging of the embryos from fertilization till the time of transfer. Every fifteen minutes, photographs are taken of the dividing embryos using a time-lapse system.

It allows embryo development to be carefully monitored on high resolution while maintaining the optimum conditions in this ultra-modern incubator. The precise information about the embryo developmental patterns obtained from the time-lapse image analysis helps in selecting the best embryo for transfer.

How is standard culture different from Embryoscope?

When the embryos are developed in the standard culture incubator, we remove them around four to five times from the incubator to assess how they are growing and evolving.

The Embryoscope allows our embryologist to assess the embryos without removing them from the incubator.

What are the advantages of Embryoscope?

Round the clock monitoring prevents disturbing the embryos for assessment. It improves the culture conditions and eliminates manual handling of the embryo, thereby minimizing the risk of accidents.

This advanced technology betters the IVF, and ICSI success rate as Dr.HrishikeshPai, one of the best IVF doctor in Mumbai, India, can now choose the healthiest embryo with proper cleavage timings to implant in the uterus.

Further, we only transfer a single or two embryos. As a result, the incidence of multiple pregnancy rate decreases without affecting the pregnancy rate.
